Joe Clayton Death – Joseph “Joe” P. Clayton (passed on November 3, 2018) was the previous CEO of Dish Network, a Colorado based Direct Broadcast Satellite supplier. He both played the job from and was supplanted by Charlie Ergen.
From 1992 to 1996, Clayton was Executive Vice President of Marketing and Sales in the Americas and Asia at Thomson S.A. (the Consumer Electronics Division at GE). During his residency as EVP, Clayton was engaged with creating and revealing the customer gear for DirecTV.
In 1997, Clayton become the CEO of Frontier Communications (initially Rochester Telephone). He filled in as CEO of Frontier until September 1999, during which time the organization gained GlobalCenter.
Clayton proceeded to become leader of Global Crossing Ltd, the organization that gained Frontier Communications. He filled in as president until November 2001.
From 2001 to 2004, Clayton filled in as the CEO of Sirius XM Holdings, where he propelled satellite radio. He at that point turned into the leader of Sirius until 2008.
In May 2011, Clayton assumed control over the job of CEO of DISH Network from Charlie Ergen. Clayton ventured down from his job in February 2015, and was supplanted by Ergen.
Clayton passed on November 3, 2018 at 69 years old.
