Brian Black Death – A former UTV moderator has kicked the bucket after his vehicle entered the water in Co Down.
Brian Black was matured in his 70s.
His vehicle dove into Strangford Lough in a matter of seconds before early afternoon on Tuesday.
A salvage activity occurred and Mr Black was liberated from the vehicle and taken to medical clinic where he tragically died.
The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) alongside the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS), Coastguard and RNLI were engaged with the salvage exertion.
A NIFRS representative said the man was safeguarded from the vehicle by individuals from the general population and the Coastguard.
“The Coastguard helicopter did an aeronautical inquiry, while NIFRS expert salvage group and the RNLI did look on the water to ensure there were no different setbacks.
Two crisis teams were dispatched, and helped by the cause Air Ambulance.
A representative said Mr Black was brought to Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast by street rescue vehicle.
